Freezing the membership
Would you like to take a break from your membership? Freezing your membership offers a flexible solution when you need a temporary break from training. Freezing your membership suspends both membership access and billing, and once the freeze period ends, your membership and billing are automatically reactivated.
Free freezing
For a free freezing, relevant certificate must always be presented to F24S staff. Membership can only be frozen free of charge with a certificate in the following special circumstances:
- Illness
- Military service
- Pregnancy
- Unemployment
A free freezing can be granted for the duration of the certificate’s validity, but for no longer than 12 months from the date on which the request and supporting certificate are received.
Note! Please remember to cover all sensitive information, such as health information and your personal identification number, before sending the certificate to us.
Freezing with a fee
If you have another reason for freezing your membership, you can take advantage a freezing with a fee. There are two freezing options to choose from:
- 9,90€ - Membership can be frozen for a maximum of 3 months (can be used once per calendar year)
- 19,90€ – Membership can be frozen for a maximum of 12 months
There is no minimum period for freezing, but the freezing fee is determined by the duration of the freezing.
Confirming the freezing
Freezing must always be agreed in advance either at reception, by email, or on My Pages “Omat Sivut”. Freezing is only considered confirmed once you have received confirmation of it. Keep the confirmation in a safe place so that you can show it to F24S staff if necessary.
Retroactive freezing
The freezing cannot begin retroactively, and unused training days will not be compensated retroactively. The freezing always begins at the earliest on the day the freezing is requested.
Early termination of the freezing
You can terminate the freezing free of charge by visiting the gym's reception. When you terminate the freezing, our staff will check your billing status and, if necessary, charge you for the remaining training sessions in the current billing period.
Extending the freezing period retrospectively
The end date or time of the freezing cannot be changed after the freezing has been created. If you need a longer freezing period, you must submit a new freezing request and pay a new freezing fee. For a free freezing, you must present a new relevant certificate.
Cancellation and freezing
Please note that membership cannot be frozen during the notice period, and frozen membership cannot be cancelled before the end of the freeze.
Reasons for and duration of freezing
Membership can be frozen for a fee or free of charge. Proof is always required for a free freezing. The freezing can last for a maximum of 12 months. In the case of a free freezing, the duration of the freeze depends on the supporting certificate provided.
Billing and freeze practices
A freezing temporarily stops membership billing. However, if the invoice for the following month has already been created or you have other outstanding invoices, they must be paid as normal despite the freezing. All paid but unused training days during the freezing period will be saved and automatically compensated to your next invoice after the freezing ends.
Freezing fee
A service fee of 9,90€/19,90€ is charged for freezing, depending on the duration of the freezing.
- If the freezing is created on site at the fitness center, the freezing fee is paid by payment card when the freezing is created.
- If the freezing is created via email, the freezing fee will be charged to your payment card or an e-invoice will be sent.
- If the freezing is created on My Pages, the freezing fee will be charged to your payment card when the freezing is created.
The freezing fee is non-refundable and non-creditable.
Please note! Freezing fee cannot be paid for with exercise benefits or in any other way than those mentioned above. For remote freezing, at least one payment method must be active in our system.
Instructions for freezing your membership on My Pages
Log in to My Pages here. Your username and password are the same as for the app. Click on "Freeze membership" and set the end date of the freezing to the date you want. Please note! The freezing will begin on the day you create it online. The freezing fee will be charged to your payment card when you create the freezing.
Instructions for freezing your membership by email
Send an email to either the fitness center reception or centralized customer service at info@f24s.fi. The email must include the following information:
- Member number
- Confirmation that you accept the service fee for the freezing as an e-invoice or charged to your payment card (the payment method must be active in the system before the freeze can be created)
- The exact validity period of the freezing – the start date can be no earlier than the date of contact and the end date no later than 12 months from the start date
- For a free freezing, the freezing request must be accompanied by relevant supporting certificate.
