Freezing the membership
Do you want to take a break from your membership? Freezing your membership offers a flexible solution when you need a temporary break from your workouts. Freezing pauses both membership access and billing, and everything will automatically resume when the freezing ends.
Important general information about freezing
A membership freeze means a temporary break in access to membership and billing. Once the freeze period ends, access and billing will automatically and immediately reactivate.
Cancellation and freezing: Please note that you cannot freeze your membership during the cancellation period, and a frozen membership cannot be canceled before the freeze period ends.
Freezing confirmation: The freeze must be arranged in advance, either at reception or via email. The freeze is considered confirmed only after our staff has acknowledged it. Please keep the confirmation carefully so it can be presented to F24S staff if needed.
Retroactive freezing: A freeze cannot be applied retroactively, and unused charged training days will not be credited afterwards.
Early termination of a freezing: You can end the freezing early without a charge by visiting the gym's reception. When ending the freeze, our staff will check the status of your billing and charge any outstanding membership fees if needed.
Extending the freezing after it has started: The freezing period cannot be extended or moved to another period after the freezing has been created. If you need a longer freezing, you must submit a new freezing request and pay a new freezing fee. For free freezes, a new relevant document must be presented.
Reasons for the freezing and duration
Freezing your membership can be done for a fee or free of charge.
Free freezing: You can freeze your membership for free only in the following special circumstances, each requiring an appropriate certificate:
- Illness
- Military service
- Pregnancy
- Unemployment
A free freezing can be granted for the duration of the certificate’s validity, but for no more than 12 months from the date when the request and certificate were received.
Note: Please remember to cover any sensitive information such as health details or your personal identification number before sending documents to us.
Freezing for a fee: If you have another reason for freezing, you can choose a paid freezing. There are two options:
- 9,90 € – Membership can be frozen for up to 3 months (can be used once per year)
- 19,90 € – Membership can be frozen for maximum 12 months
There is no minimum freezing period, but the freezing fee is determined by the duration of freezing.
Billing and freezing
Membership billing: Freezing temporarily stops membership billing. If an invoice for the current or next month has already been created, or if you have any outstanding invoices, they must be paid as usual regardless of the freezing. All paid and unused training days that fall under the freezing will be credited automatically on your next bill after the freezing ends.
Freeze fee: A service fee of 9,90 € / 19,90 € is charged, depending on the duration of the freezing.
- If the freezing is created on site at the gym, the freezing fee is also paid at the same time by payment card.
- If the freezing is created via email, the freezing fee will be sent as an e-invoice or charged automatically from the payment card that is attached to your profile.
- The paid freezing fee will not be refunded or credited.
Note: The freezing fee cannot be paid with sport benefits (Edenred, Epassi, Smartum) or by any other means than those mentioned above.
